As I pour some cold water on the heated, warm saunaheater, a big cloud of vaporizing air is leaving the hot surface. You can see the hot water fizzing on the hot stones in the middle.
The heat instantly hit your face, back and rest of the body and it heats your up in a comfortable, enjoyable way. My eyes close as I take a sip of my 7% alcopop. As my body leans to the hot wooden-wall of the wall I feel how hot it is, at first I want to remove my body from the wall immediately, but at the same time I know after a few seconds it will cool down from the dripping sweat off my body. My head relaxes towards the wall as I'm leaning on it, and at the same time I'm trying to think about what to type about today. As the drink(s) makes sure my body is steaming hot, eyes closed and head leaning towards the wall. I feel my heart pumping the blood to my veins, brain and body. As it's doing it I get that dull feeling and the feeling that it's really pulsating through my body, I can feel every heartbeat throughout my whole body. I open my eyes, and as I try to focus my eyes on a spot at the lightly lid up wooden-panel, I watch the thermometer showing 85c. Music is pumping in the speakers as I stare blindly towards the wall, my heart is still pumping heavily so I feel it throughout my body, and when trying to focus my vision on a spot on the wall. My eyes/head spin and I can see how the areas around the dot is getting darker and darker as I keep looking. Most people would probably consider this uncomfortable or unpleasant, but not me. I thrive on this dulled out, some people would probably say "too drunk" moment, but this isn't even close to that. That feeling you get, full control but at the same time drunk, and your heart is racing.
- I love it.
I met zhady years and years ago, I'm not sure exactly how it happned. Me and omilo used to talk in vent, and somehow zhady decided to join. I wake up from my coma, Zhady is alive.
Moxx: Could you introduce yourself to our readers?
Zhady: Hey there. Let me formally introduce myself for those of you who don't know. I go by the stage name Zhady. I'm from Sweden and had quite a few records back in the days.
Moxx: So Zhady, you've been into the whole KZ-scene for quite a while by now, how did it all start?
Zhady: Hello there. I think it all started with joining a public server, the map was kz_ep_gigabl0ck_01. It was a challenge, can't remember if I beat it though, but I guess I did at last. After that I saw a demo of a player called 'kalle' on the same map and tried to improve my time over and over again, I guess I got the hang of it.
Moxx: In what era did you decide to join the communitys? Could have been Xtreme-Jumps, or maybe you joined earlier than that?
Zhady: I can't remember exactly when I joined, however I remember that I joined only to be able to download maps faster (always downloaded maps from the server). The first map I downloaded from the site was j2s_4floors, XJ just released it and I tried it out with a friend. It wasn't the easiest thing to beat, I tried to do it with space
Moxx: When did you realize you were good enough to do World-Records, and which maps were you first to conquer?
Zhady: It didnt take that long. I wasn't even playing that good but I saw how bad some demos were, many mistakes etc.. So I took a shot at fo_h0pbl0ck and beat it after some time. I think I overestimated people just because they had "World Records". When I actually took the time to watch some of them, I realized that this can't be that hard, just some geeking.
Moxx: Being one of the top players of all times, it's must have been tough? I mean with all the people wanting to spec, and you definetly put in allot of work?
Zhady: Yes, there were many people who wanted to spectate, kept spamming etc. Humans are humans and when they could they were my best friend, when they couldn't I was a diva and so on. Some people take it to personal, but what do I care? Unfortunately I didn't have a NASA computer at the time. People take things to personal and haters will always hate.
Moxx: How about the records, how much time did you spend on them?
Zhady: It's hard to say. At times I managed to do it on the first try while others could take days (not full days ofc). A hard question to answer!
Moxx: I bet it took some hard work to do it. Was there any jumper you looked up to?
Zhady: Oh ye it did. Wow, I can't really remember who I looked up to, to be honest. What I know is that I wanted to beat the people I looked up to, I wanted them to look up to me.
Moxx: How do you personally believe you compared to the other top players? How would you rank yourself?
Zhady: That's a hard question to answer too. I'd say so much that when I was at my best I could beat any record, if I was dedicated enough. I think it's the same for all top players. I won't rank myself, I leave that to the community.
Moxx: Good answer, I've seen you been playing a bit of cups on XJ aswell, was that a way to keep your mind off recording?
Zhady: Yea, I guess. Recording was frustrating and stressfull at times. We all have our ups and downs. A good way to practice on your consistency in my opinion.
Moxx: Who did you think hosted the best cups?
Zhady: I'd say quantity was more important than quality here. We all just wanted to play and play and play.. So the guy who started most cups.
Moxx: Haha I hear that! You were an administrator at Xtreme-Jumps at one point too? What were your jobs and how did you like it?
Zhady: Hmm.. I think I did everything except for maptesting. It was fun at the beginning, as it is with everything. Got tired after a while and didnt have no interest in doing much of anything related to it.
Moxx: Yeah I can see how people loose motivation, do you do anything today?
Zhady: I play sometimes for fun on public servers, not that much though.
Moxx: Oh well, seems like the train is approaching the station. Do you mind a few shorties before you head off?
Zhady: Sure thing!
Moxx: Marlboro or Camel?
Zhady: Marlboro
Moxx: Bunnyjump maps or Regular?
Zhady: Regular
Moxx: Coke or Water?
Zhady: Coke
Moxx: A full pint of Carlsberg or half a Guiness?
Zhady: Guiness
Moxx: Okay, going to an end. Got anyone special you'd like to give a shout-out to? Any last words?
Zhady: Okay, here it comes. A shout-out to the whole community, especially the haters, keep hating, me love it!
