who cares about the fucking mapskilled maps and the good lucking maps with the wow effect. kreedz maps and other old maps are very nice to play because it was only about the jumps. nowadays its only about the textures and the creative jumps. and thats not funny at all, so a lot of more maps would be uber nice.

Taste is a subjective thing, so I'd vote for more average maps, as I do not always agree with the mapcheck team.

The poll pretty much shows that something inbetween the two choices would be best.

However, it depends on what type of maps are getting submitted. There's no guarantee on what's gonna be produced.

who says what a "good" map is anyway? the mapcheckers may have a completely different opinion from the rest of the community. a map may have great jumps and look terrible, or have terrible jumps and look great. some people will like the jumps, some wont. same can go for how the map looks.


if you dont like the map and only try it once, so what? its there for other people who will like it.

I prefer good looking maps, there is so many bad looking maps. Okey, they are fun to play, but why not make them look better?

Mapchecking team and players opinion sometimes differ.
Like the mapping contest. I would've chosen other maps. But nobody would ask you what maps to choose. So definetely more maps would be better.

i think very good maps sucks because there will be 2 or 3 mappers mapping maps like that and the others are just averange but i think the point is that every map has different jumps and it makes fun to jump them (the different jumps) so u have everytime something new where u can try out your skill ... and smaller releases will be better because there will be every map played not only 1 or 2 because many ppl are too lazy to dl 6 maps at one day

yeah, i mean sure, there are a lot of skilled mappers, but those arent always the ones that come up with the new ideas or great jumps.

The funnest part about KZing for me is playing all the new maps that come out, When theres a large influx of releases I freaking love it. Sure most I will only end up playing once but big deal, that first time was still fun.

If u can choose from more maps there is a higher probability that u like one so i don't see any problem.

i still dont see why you would want 2-3 very good maps, considering this is an opinion. isnt it difficult to base quality of maps on opinion before anybody even tries the map?

release all the maps that have been accepted at once, i dont see why you shouldnt. then it's up to the mappers how fast the maps get released to the community.

if by very good u mean good looking maps and by average u mean average looking maps and better jumps then more average maps is definetly the way to go.
