  • i`m started playing kz back to 2010. One day I accidentally join to kz public server and started my first run.I fell in love from the first time. Yeah im still playing on public server. Sometimes with friends from Poland and sometimes with guys from other country. Nicest think would be to servers again were full of players.

  • My journey has started at the end of 2008 year. I was browsing a CS thematic website called "a-gaming", learnt about long jumping and started practicing it. Like many of you, I had not much situations where I could use gained skills except that famous rock jump on de_nuke. But even like this, only 1/5 of attempts were successful so I decided to keep improving. Some time after this I discovered another community called "Groza" where I found some HNS servers. I liked the idea of game but didn't like the servers themselves so all of my time I was playing on European (mostly Bulgarian) servers. At that time I already knew about bhopping but I couldn't do it because of broken mouse wheel, so I had to use bhop script. With bhopping the game became ever more enjoyable so I decided to order a new mouse and learn to bhop without any scripts. It was slow and painful process but few weeks after I could finish bkz_goldbhop without any problems. I kept reading those forums and discovered few more things, one of them which is stand-up bhops. Few more weeks and voila, I can do freaking stand-up bhops! Everything became much easier with it. At that time I already heard something about a community called "XJ" but never really knew what exactly it is. So I googled it and... I couldn't understand anything on this website, nevertheless I decided to register here. All my time I was spending either on HNS servers or LAN server where I was practicing newly learned tricks/techniques or playing random KZ maps. For some reason the most memorable map from that time for me is kz_cmp_collage_v2. With a new mouse I improved my long jump record from 249.8 to 253 block in a few days and here my long jumping career has started. At the late night of summer '10 I recorded my first 255 block and it was my first achievement I could be proud of. All of these demos were sent to "unique-kz" community where I met my first KZ buddies. I kept geeking long jumps up to 2011 until I suddenly understood that it became little bit boring for me, so I started to record climb/bhop demos for "born2jump" community along with some other players like DeathClaw who started it little bit earlier than me. Some time later I understood that I kinda suck at it so I came back to long jumping, to be exact count jumping. Did 260 to 268 real quick, people kept saying me "oh come on, how come you don't have steam account? get it and go for 269", I was like "nah, I will never do 269". Some time later I got licensed CS as a gift and shortly after did 269. It was posted @ XJ front page and I was happy as fuck. I kept doing it and 6 months later I did 270 block, it made me happy as fuck once again. I didn't play much up to 2013, when I finally decided to get some WRs. Aimed for b2j_lost and after few hours of geeking it's mine. Recorded some other WRs and understood that it takes too much time for me to record something, so I stopped. I was silently watching how LyNn is owning whole scene with his demos, until in autumn '13 I saw a news post about him and his demos. I was kinda shocked, not because I thought he's a legit player but because how long it took XJ to detect cheat in his demos. So I started learning demo checking. Got the tools and started checking as much demos as I could. Too lazy to write what happened next as you probably know it yourself, but here I'm — 8 years and still doing this shit.

  • * Do you still play?
    - No, not really. Sometimes I join a server and messa round for fun.

    * What brought you to the Climbing Scene?
    - Somehow iI stumbeled upon a kz-server around 2005 or 2006... I didnt find out about XJ until a while later, was messing around with shortcuts on mountez with someone called "t3dbundy" who iahd no idea was a significant icon in the kz world. Watched a few of his demos (that corsshair that changed color) and kinda got into it.

    * What do you like most from KZ?
    - What I like the most is watching demos honestly, and ofc messing around on some average-hard maps (wich takes me a while since my lj rec is like 246)

    * With who are you still playing or have played KZ with?
No one, I used to play alot with LOLLY... and alot of people whi played hide n seek when it 1st came out. Vyrus, gizp_o, flibo, ... eh, cant remember the names, was too long ago.

    * What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ again?
    - The times on skype while playing hns on the standard maps like alpin, italy_remake... And ofc i used to love writing the weekly here.
Was alot of fun, getting in contact with the community and players. Sadly I doubt I would have time even tho i did get the chance again.

But its been a blast and I will keep checking in form time to time!

  • 1st map - kz_giantbean; it looked sick cuz i watchd this oldskl vid on google videos with some guy climbing it

watched bibo's movies by rinkon and it looked sik so it got me into movie making

got into long jumps cuz it was quicker satisfaction/different "sport" like sprinting than climbing whole maps; but did do some kz maps stil; never kz'ed much when i started or even now tho - surfed more

User Avatar
  • - Not really... From time to time I open CS 1.6 and try to bhop on some map 'cause there are not KZ/HNS servers anymore
    - I don't know really... Maybe it was someone from a KZ or HNS server that said about XJ but definitely XJ was the first KZ related community (with a site, forum, etc) that I saw. I was interested in all that new thing that I had discovered and wanted do get to know more about it. Even now that I dont play anymore, I still visit XJ almost everyday and it is the only community that I am in.
    - Bhop, definitely. Bhop was my love since the beginning and also HNS (I don't like to climb and record maps that much).
    - Well, the first time I played KZ was on kz_cellblock... I was playing a 5v5 and when the match was over, the admin changed to cellblock and said it was a cool map, where you were supposed to climb and I liked it very much. But a few months or years before that, I was still playing non-steam CS and saw a video on youtube where there were a lot of people playing awp_rooftops, colored smokes where flying everywhere and I got so interested in all that beauty that it was the reason I bought CS 1.6 Steam.
    - I still playing CS:GO competitive with some guys that I played KZ/HNS so many years ago but I never really had many friends in the scene, I don't like to make new friends.
    - Having all the goop climbers recording for this site again and all that competition we had back in the days... Also a awp_rooftops server with 20 people on it.

    - Yes,i cannot quit it right now - its like heroine
    * What brought you to the Climbing Scene?
    - I was really bored and decided to try something else than shooting(in 2015 February) and i saw a KZ server with the kz map i played for the first time in 2007 (kz_winterdust <3)(Actually i played kz in 2008 for like 4 months, but i quit it dunno why)
    * What do you like most from KZ?
    - I like watching players which are really good at Longjumping (especially with a lot of strafes (; )
    * When did you first start playing KZ?
    - 2007 December first map kz_winterdust i remember like it was yesterday.
    * With who are you still playing or have played KZ with?
    - Dunno :D many people i guess :D
    * What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ again?
    - I can't really answer this question since i am not playing from long time

  • * Do you still play?

I do from time to time and I try to record during winter/summer holidays, although I'm not nearly as motivated as I was when I started playing.

    * What brought you to the Climbing Scene?

A friend back in 2007 showed me what I think was kz_canyon and we tried to finish it on his LAN server (ended up using gravity for most of it). After that I slowly entered the KZ scene and KZ-Arg-/XJ, being a former demo/head admin for kz-arg and currently doing it here!

    * What do you like most from KZ?

Watching and recording demos mostly, I remember trying arpino for the first time and just playing for 3-4 hours non-stop without even realising it.

    * When did you first start playing KZ?

    Around 2007.

    * With who are you still playing or have played KZ with?

I've only stayed in touch with a handful of guys from kz-arg's scene, I even met some of them in person (F!rE, Soad, juanch0x) and became really good friends. We still go on ts and join a public server to just chill once in a while.

    * What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ again?

I guess I kinda miss having time to geek as much as I want and record :(

User Avatar
  • Do you still play?
Yeah, when I'm not practicing sports or busy with university I just play some KZ.

What brought you to the Climbing Scene?
Well I discovered Kreedz back in 2011 after playing deathrun. Then I quited and joined again in 2013 till this day. When I find a game or something that I love I really like to be involved with the whole scene, that's why I registered on XJ and started to watch demos and discover the whole scene.

What do you like most from KZ?
The improvement. To notice how you increase your level day after day by just playing. Even if I'm not as good as the elite players, when I started back in 2013 I never expected to have this level. I'm really happy of my skills even with all my faults, because I know that I have a great potential to explode if I keep playing.

When did you first start playing KZ?
I played a few weeks during 2011, I reached 240 LJ stats and quited a few days after that, then I came back in March 2013, and since that day I still play very often.

With who are you still playing or have played KZ with?
Well with a lot of KZ-Arg guys, they know who they are. In real life I played with Aguslash and afu last week, so KZ gave me more than just friends in-game.

What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ again?
Well I loved when I did achievements for the first time, like taking a Cosy record or an Argentinian Record, or doing 255 LJ stats, but I still have one achievement pending which is to take a World Record in 1.6 KZ here, on Xtreme-Jumps, and that's why I'm being bullied by KZ-Arg guys :D

  • Do you still play?
I'm 28 and playing computer games (well, I haven't played another game besides Counter Strike since 8 years) becomes rare these days. From time to time I play for like an hour or two. Mostly it is a combination of Gun Games, Deathrun and Kreedzing.

What brought you to the Climbing Scene?
I was able to bunnyhop a little on regular maps. Back then I was using space and it actually worked, lol can you imagine! I came across a Deathrun server in like 2008/2009 and it was addicting as hell. I was a beginner and saw these pro guys jumping certain distances and wondered 'how'. At the same time I wanted to jump on that rock on de_nuke, so I did some researches, asked around in forums etc. Someone (I think it was Kraxxel) explained the basics and advised me to download the kz_longjumps2 map. That's how I found my way to Xtreme-Jumps.

What do you like most from KZ?
I always loved the autonomy of this game. The creators would've never dreamed their game would develop its own life and bring up huge communities for different aspects of the game (kreedzing, surfing, hns etc.).?Discoveries such as Jump Bug, Count Jump or Ground Strafing FUCKING BLEW MY MIND! Everytime I think about it. Now we're having geeks jumping like 273 stats and players jumping from ginormeous heights without taking any damage, this is totally nuts. That's why I never really played the KZmod, because it was designed for kreedz, while the old CS 1.6 has deep roots.

When did you first start playing KZ?
    In 2009

With who are you still playing or have played KZ with?
I always played alone. Once I was kreedzing with another swiss guy for a few weeks, but he had a compulsive gambling disorder and started to beg me for money, so I distanced myself from that person.

What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ again?
I'd like to accomplish three things before I finally quit forever: 1) box to window jump on de_italy/ct spawn 2) combo tj on de_train (jump from top to the trains and land on the box) 3) the first part of nz_leetbhop. These are the only things I'm still geeking from time to time.

  • Do you still play?
I still play few hours a day, but now i changed the mod I'm playing, it became hns. I join kz servers maybe few times in a month.

What brought you to the Climbing Scene?
My irl friend, told me about jumping mode when we played shooting back in winter 2010. He told me to join him. And the most great thing that he already told me that I should bind mwheel on jump, and it wasn't so hard for me, compare to the guys who started with space. So from that day I started only playing kreedz.

What do you like most from KZ?
The idea it self. This is best jumping game ever. It have alot of tehniques that are not so easy to learn. And also I like community, even tho we had some jerks. We all are really friendly like a small family :)

When did you first start playing KZ?
    Winter 2010

With who are you still playing or have played KZ with?
I started to play with Latvian player Woxy, he teach me alot of the game. And I always was spectacting him and the thing that he could do every map w/o checkpoints just blow my mind sometimes. After he quit. I started to play with my irl friend toyzz. It was so fun cus we had same skill at that time. And had something like competition, that made learn the game better.

What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ again?
I still want to land 269 CountJump block. Did it once on public only :(

  • Do you still play?
    - I dont play anymore, maybe open cs one or two times per month...cuz of mouse problems and cuz of studies

What brought you to the Climbing Scene?
    - Honestly cant remember very well, i was little kido (like 2008.) when i startted 'climbing'...probably i 'accidently' connected to our (serbian) kz server or bulgarian, and from that first connect it became interesting to me...so at first 3-4 years i was geeking and geeking, trying to accomplish 'something'...then recorded some demos for KZ-Balkan, Cosy-Climbing....but withotu much results...also KZ plugins inspired me for making them, i mean for 'becaming' a amxx coder...i coded for ~2 years many (easy) things for kreedz......but when i think about that coding period, i regret, cuz it was just no-lifing, literally...but maybe positive thing about it is: i realiezed earlier that coding for me is very bad thing to do in life

What do you like most from KZ?
-1) People from KZ Community (cuz theres too many good guys for joking/talking)
    2) Competition - But between them, cuz i wasnt that good...back then, t3dbundy, brian, zhady, hel^_x, kkz (which was the most interesting kreedzer to me, cant say why lol), kanye, shNz, so on, and now we have nice battles with totally new-different players...like shooting-star, Throttle, NAPZ(dunno if he's playing now), Toff, lewly, and so on, and so on...
    3) All other thing that KZ gives us...like LJing...im not a big fan of noone these techniques, but it is interesting to see how, back then from 250 block lj - we are now at 256-7...probably no one thought in that past time it will be even possible...also for BJs, CJs, DCJs, ect...

When did you first start playing KZ?
    - Like i said it was 2008. but cant rembember where and how exactly i started

With who are you still playing or have played KZ with?
    - Cant think of who i wasnt playing on the server...only with those old-old schoolers...ofc the most of the time i was playing on (back then) good serbian servers, with Serbian people(s drugari)...later, these servers ended, cant remember why...so almost all of us went to any good servers from nearby countries...
Now, when i want to play kz, at first im looking what map is playing and then who's playing...cuz at this moment i cant play anymore, so its better to watch some professionals and enjoy

What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ again?
    - I'll want to experience for seeing it, not to do by myself in kz, and the thing is: AGAIN inventing new techiques, tricks...like it was done before...how i saw, Nanou (thats not his nick, i know :D) found new 'trick' at ae_strafers_heaven, its so interesting to see it, for me :) And also, new abnormal demos, legal ones ofc :D

Also gj for XJ team, this article/newspot is totally what we needed, in my opinion :)

  • - Do you still play?

Yes I do, from time to time I jump into endo or kz-arg server. Sometimes I try to beat some cosy maps in LAN too.

    - What brought you to the Climbing Scene?

Honestly, I don't remember. Back in year 2007 I used to play with friends 2 vs 2 in cs_assault (lmao). Then, I have memories of jumping into kz_man_terablock and saying: wtf is this.. Later, I discovered KZ movies, followed up by XJ.

    - What do you like most from KZ?

KZ is weird. People from the outside see it as a totally waste of time. We all know that KZ is challenging, there are countless ways to do a map, improve it. I think never reaching the perfection is what keep us alive, still beating wrs. Being able to improve your skills, day by day.

    - When did you first start playing KZ?

    No answer.. Might be 2007/2008

    - With who are you still playing or have played KZ with?

At first, alone. Until 2 years ago I found that my fps being capped at 60 was a vertical sync problem, and not a hardware one. Then, with 100 fps, buying steam and so, I started playing with Cupe, Aguslash, Mrjuice, rawe, tr33p and some others. I still play 1.6 with sooshka and Mrjuice the haxxor from time to time.

    - What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ again?

I honestly don't know. I've been into the KZ scene since 2009.. The nicest thing we could experience is a comeback from old players, and XJ activity rising again.

  • Do you still play?
    - Yes I still do whenever I can

What brought to the climbing scene?
    - I got in just from watching a guy playing a map on a lan party, so I tried myself and here Im.

What do you like most of KZ?
    - I like the ability that you need to be good at it, only people involved can understand this. From the outside it's like "you just jump". That's why I enjoy alot playing/watching hard/xtreme maps mostly.

When did you first start playing KZ?
    - When kz_climbers_b01 was something new, so 2005 I believe.

With who are you still playing or have played KZ with?
    - Just personal friends.

What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ again?
    - I would love to see some of the old people, that helped me get better, playing again.

User Avatar
  • Do you still play?
    - Rarely yes, mostly checking maps and freestyle kz whenever im bored at pc.

What brought to the climbing scene?
    - i started surfing before i started climbing, but the first map i ever saw like 10+ years ago was the kz_6fd_volcano and i didnt even know what kz is.. so then somehow i ended up on that CS Groza servers with the russian crazies where it was super fun with that boost plugin and how hard were things for most players =D i started with bhop maps like goldbhop etc but i love climbing more.

What do you like most of KZ?
    - Long, wonderful themed maps where you play and time goes so fast because u enjoy the map and the game better! specially when spec'in pros on awesome maps.

When did you first start playing KZ?
    - around 2008 for sure.

With who are you still playing or have played KZ with?
    - Oh well i dont remember any that anyone would know here, but i played with a good friend who helped me back then called smiley from russia i think. Nowdays well with friends from steam sometimes or on random servers.

What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ again?
    - Playing a KZ map with a friend in real life or even an official net cafe party of XJ members playin would be awesome.

User Avatar
  • Do you still play?
I still play CS 1.6 but with a lot of extended breaks. Still, I jump around on public servers every once in a while.

What brought you to the Climbing Scene?
Hard to answer this one since it dates back so far. I think I randomly connected to a KZ server and got hooked right away. From then on I always checked out kreedz world (or whatever XJ's predecessor was called) and watched the latest records and tried to learn from those. And practiced. And practiced.

What do you like most from KZ?
The flow of well designed maps, the journeys the mappers take you along or the challenges hard/extreme maps offer. Also I love watching WRs on extreme maps. Oh, how I envy the skill and dexterity... ;-)

When did you first start playing KZ?
Must have been around 2003-5. Hard to tell. About a year before XJ launched.

With who are you still playing or have played KZ with?
I played with many, many people - mostly on public servers that is. Some names off the top of my head are fizik, Andmaste, wayz, Lesic. Nowadays, though, I don't have any KZ related friends anymore.

What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ again?
Nostalgica. The good ole days. The excitement of beating a hard/extreme map w/o checkpoints - way out of reach for me now.

  • My journey has started sometimes in 2012. I have played CS 1.6 for a half year on classic servers. I have tried to join to HNS server and i tried to play. I learnt first strafes, then I jump first LongJump. But then (not even how) i discovered KZ. I was browsing on Internet about HNS and i found Xtreme-Jumps. I started read about this and I downloaded some KZ maps. I tried to run over map, but i couldn't finish it. Then my friend from Country: Slovakia (i can't remember name, sorry) told me how to do Stand-Up Bhop. I was trying it but at the end i learnt it. Then i got idea that i can do movies(because i wasn't a good jumper). So i went on Youtube and i found some tutorials for it. I was trying it and i my first movie ever( i deleted it from youtube). It's was terrible but journey only started. Then i got idea for my first big KZ project called Free Failing
. About this project i have started my "moviemaking career"( no so famous). There are some projects :
    1. line1
    2. line2
    3. line3
. In 2014 i quite KZ and Moviemaking. Nowadays i come back to kreedz i play once or twince a week on some kz servers. Maybe i will come back to moviemaking. Sorry for my english, i believe that you understand. Thanks, Invalid user

  • My first time playing on KZ server was back to late 2014, but i was always triggered by players who do sick jumps and do sick bhop(didn't know what bhop and longjump back then), so i stopped till i entered a Deathrun server in the 2nd/3/2015 (My birth day) and liked the idea of the maps been played, so i started asking some good players how they longjump and bhop, but non of them did me any good, so i went to youtube and some tut's on how to longjump and bhop, step by step i jumped 254 LJ and 273 SCJ by the end on 2015, along the journey i saw the best deathrun player my eyes saw named ajmorad, i saw him do a stand-up bhop and i said "what the fuck .." alot, so i asked him and he tolled me how to do it and that helped me to achieve 273 SCJ, then i went to KZ bhop maps and started braking them 1 by 1, till i met skz_mentalbhop for some reason i kept failing everytime, now the strike comes... i had to stop playing for 1 week, those 7 days made me lose all my skills and went back from the start, since then im trying to improve and get my skills back and try to get a shoot on a WR, and that will make me learn how ro LJ+CJ+BHOP in 10AA, while my career been in 100AA, know this ... that i will beat 10AA and come to get my first WR.

  • Who the fuck are these people? ^

Not a single name rings a bell, none. Why should we care about their stories? Ask the real legends who played the game and were known for something, not those ( ^ ).

  • Do you still play?

No, playing World Of Warcraft nowadays, but sometimes i download cs 1.6 again( like 1-2 times a year), and i still like to jump around.

What brought you to the Climbing Scene?

I was searching for some war3 servers back in 2006 or 2007 kinda don`t remember, and i accidentaly went on kz server, i was like what is this? and when i knew it was some kind of competition i got sucked in it and played all night`s long. So good memories.

What do you like most from KZ?

I like bhop, and mostly i like to complete hard maps even with cp, it feels very good finishing that hard map, even though i wasn`t like super good at the mod.

When did you first start playing KZ?

Somewhere at 2006-2007 winter, our latvian (dead web) community says i joined 12dec 2007, but i started 1-2 months till then.

What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ again?

I want to experience those times when you join a server, it`s almost full, and you see those guys who always play with you and chat for 5-10min standing in the middle of the map. Those times where the best.

  • Since people seem to like to read these, I thought I'd contribute with my story with a few lines.

    Do you still play?
Not really. I used to play tons of CS every summer because I didn't have much of a social life or a job. These days I less time, and if I choose to spend that time with video games (I actually still play a lot), I tend to play CSGO or Dota 2 with my IRL friends.

What brought you to the Climbing Scene?
I was bored and was typing random letters to the server browser and stumbled upon kz_ maps. I thought the name looked funny so I connected to a server which had kz_northpole_b01 running at the time. I think it was in 2004. I didn't get much farther than the first few jumps, but I started playing KZ maps every once in a while. In 2006 I found the Finnish KZ community, KZFI, where I started recording some national records. Fast forward half a year, and I was submitting my first world record in rpz_downfall[race] to XJ.

What do you like most from KZ?
I love that it's easy to see your progress and always do some little things, no matter how small, to improve your time from before. I've always liked the fact that KZ allows one's creativity to shine. It takes a lot of work to perfect a route, planning out every bunnyhop and doubleduck, but a successful execution is well worth it.

With who are you still playing or have played KZ with?
Man, I've played with so many people during these years, it's difficult to mention even a small part of them. Honorable shoutouts: jondee, ajuhhhhh, KeltA, mjuuh, Fantasm, shNz, 7D, kayne, DeathClaw, pizza^. A lot of great people were speccing me often. Unfortunately I've forgot most of their nicknames, but keeping me company back then meant a lot.

What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ again?
I always loved the feeling of being in a crowded server and talking with everybody while trying my best to get top 15 times. I'm a really competitive person, but the social aspect of KZ is what I remember most fondly.

Yes, cs 1.6 kreedz is one of the few games I play.

    >What brought you to the Climbing Scene?
We were playing with some friends on a classic server and it went down, so we saw what other modes the server has. I saw "jump" and decided to try it. The first map I played was kz_cfl_jost and I couldn't pass the first bridge. I got addicted from that point on.

    >What do you like most from KZ?
The techniques used, and that it's a game of constantly improving myself. I quite enjoy watching people play extreme maps.
And longjumping. I love longjumping above all else. It started because I couldn't jump the block on 8b1_brickngrass, so I searched "long jump guide" and came across a video by wayz. From the ~1500 hours I have on cs 1.6, about 1000 have to be spent on longjumping alone. I used to grind stats on kz_longjumps2 for hours every day...

    >When did you first start playing KZ?
    Late 2013.

    >With who are you still playing or have played KZ with?
Mostly (alone) in public servers, sometimes with my brother. Used to play with "PePPer :D" but he hasn't been online for quite a while now. And occasionally some other Bulgarian jumpers.

    * What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ again?
Watching and playing with the people I looked up to the most when I started. Although I wish I had discovered the world of kz sooner.

    - Surprisingly yeah. Still after all these years, KZ still captivates me!

What brought you to the Climbing Scene ?
    - If my memory serves me correct, I was introduced to KZ either 2005 or 2006 by some guys I played regular CS with. I think one of them told me to check out a certain map and that map was: kz_ep_gigablock_b01. It immediately sparked my interest and I found myself playing KZ maps day in and day out. 1 Day I came across a server with the map kz_man_terablock and while I was noobing around I suddenly noticed what seemed to be a professional player just completely destroy the map in a way I had NEVER seen any player do before. Keep in mind I was completely new to KZ but I still to this day remember how fluent and not to mention FAST that looked. It has become obvious to me that the interesting part of that experience was the skill that was being portrayed right before my eyes and not so much the player who performed it. Though 1 player name that has always come to mind upon reminiscing of that truly old memory is: a0ke (Swedish).
I think the player had some type of clan tag, because I immediately searched up: -link- either while spectating him or after he had left. I simply NEEDED to see more of that magic that had just out of the blue found it's way to me. I was shocked about the skill you could apparently reach in this new found thing "KZ" and so my journey with countless hours or playing, chatting, discussing, arguing etc began..

What do you like most from KZ ?
    - Interesting question..
I think what really caught my attention about KZ and simply intertwined with my passion, was the possibility for the mesmerizing movement that KZ had in it's foundation. Ofc the movement already came from CS itself, but it would NEVER have become the thing it is today without maps to showcase the potential the nature of the movement in CS had. Sure you could see people bunnyjump on regular maps like de_dust2/inferno/nuke etc, but only to some extent.
What the maps did was to create well.. A WORLD were the movement didn't really have to end but could continue to flow in a natural, fast-paced and beautiful way.

For instance the progression of the things that were seen as hard or maybe even impossible, into becoming reality has just been mind-blowing! Think about the limits we had by only being able to "bhop"...
Now think about the IMPACT the "Standup" had for KZ and how it completely changed the game! Suddenly the combos that were deemed impossible and for some even completely unthinkable, with time and practice became a reality. A whole new dimension to KZ was born with the introduction of the Standup!

Then later on came another revolutionary thing: The Count-Jump!
And AGAIN maaaaany things that people perhaps had never ever thought about became possible. Now that longer combos had become the normality, suddenly jumping further was about to become a thing too! It sure was exciting times to play KZ back then. It sparked a collective unity of thoughts that consisted of: "The search for the undiscovered possibilities that layed within all the different maps in the world of KZ"

Then fast forward some years and a NEW, and once again revolutionary addition to KZ was added and I absolutely love(d) it: "doubleduck"! Why ? Because it set up for EVEN MORE possibilities and potential to do things in maps that really nobody had EVER SEEN BEFORE! When I think "dd" I simply think shNz. The way he learned the technique and perfected it to such a degree that it looked like he could just throw one out at any given moment and it would create well, magic. The extension of an already "completed combo", into a never before seen combo, THAT is one of the biggest reasons why I LOVE KZ. All the progression it has given us, the community! In it's core, ALL the possibilities of movement.

When did you first start playing KZ ?

Have played with ? HAHA! There have been sooooo many that I've completely lost count ^^,
Still playing with however: ScraP and many different awesome people on kz-endo! (:

What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ again ?
    - Well, I'm going to rephrase that question into: What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ ?
-The answer to that is quite simple: Achieve a World Record here on Xtreme-Jumps.

    No.

What brought you to the Climbing Scene?
I was playing classic mode back in 2004-5 around that time if I'm not wrong. Some swedish player joined our game on de_dust he was combining bhop and shooting and it was really nice. I thought damn that is so cool.. what is he doing, how does he do that.. I was thinking It would be cool to learn that in order to achieve his skill on shooting with those movements. Some time after that a friend sent me a IP for some KZ server but I do not remember the map name. It was really long climb map and after 15-20 min I said this shit is not for me and went back to shooting. I was trying to learn bhop on classic shooting maps since I was not aware for any bhop maps back then.

What do you like most from KZ?
Mostly short bhop maps, never liked to climb except short hard maps. I loved to spectate pro players like patchouli and shnz.

When did you first start playing KZ
Regularly around 2014 but I used to play before for short periods of time because I liked more shooting back then.

With who are you still playing or have played KZ with
Mostly with bulgarians in bulgarian kz/bhop servers

What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ again?
Nothing because I did everything I planned to do.

    - Yes, when I have the time.
    * What brought you to the Climbing Scene?
    - I saw a guy who jumped over the pit in de_snipe_it5 and was like "So that is actually possible" until I did it myself after a lot of tries, I also watched how some pro players had better movement than others, which benefited them a lot in 5 vs 5 matches. Few months passed and a friend of mine showed me how to bhop, on long, de_dust2.
I found some bhop maps and I got better at it. I started getting good at kz maps as well. But some maps I had to find by myself & being a non steam player at that time while seeming normal, it was particularly hard to find some maps. I probably ran more km on kz_longjumps2 than I have driving, but my best jump was 252 block with 254 stats (my 1st 250 stats on 10aa -link- ), so that wasn't my strength. When I found XJ, I was like damn, people here are working. oTcHeTo was holding the lj records back then before losing it to the german "heat" I believe. I remember oTcHeTo jumping 250 block x10 times and heat doing it x20 after that, just for the competitive feel. I started watching pictures and videos of people's achievements, watched videos of people who compete on the same map and was blown away by their level of skill compared to mine at the time. I wanted to do what they did, but I was like, how to enter the servers, it's for steam users only. But I continued to play elsewhere, just opened the site to learn more, found out who Count and Kreedz were by the interviews you post here. I also learned about the history of KZ and Xtreme-Jumps and how this community was built. I watched videos like heL^ x vs Kunqui. All that helped me get good times on the kz and bhop maps I played, so good that they were really close to the records I was watching here & my 1st thought was like, "I can make a record of my own some day". I learned a lot about the mechanics of the game and like someone said in a comment at 1 point. People here were learning 1.6 physics. Watched how some people took advantage of the poor engine this game runs on and cheated their way onto the projectors of this site. I've seen people treated like cheaters even when they weren't. I've seen people with such passion for KZ, that one in particular wrote he had a dream of the perfect strafe (FoF)
    * What do you like most from KZ?
    - It rewards you for the hard work you put in. It also shows you that with hard work you can achieve what you want, just like in life. Also, it separates you BIG time from the people who didn't put in all that work. At the same time bringing you closer to people who are willing to work hard at the same goal you both have. You know how sometimes longjump maps get crowded right? I stood once on the ladder and had a mixed feeling. It was like a gym for cs, but instead of treadmills we had these lj blocks, "working" our asses off.
    * When did you first start playing KZ?
    - I believe it was 2008.
    * With who are you still playing or have played KZ with?
    - I play alone now, but sometimes I meet people who I met earlier on other servers. I changed my nickname a couple of times and those people don't remember me anymore. I believe this site was most alive, just before koukouz retired. I remember his flag dominating this site.
    * What would be the nicest thing you want to experience in KZ again?
Seeing xj servers full. People being nicer to each other. Also someone showing all those CSGO clowns, what is real KZ, where it started, and that at some place, at some point in time, there was a community with people, who put their free time and a lot of energy into this.
