the next interviewee is blackelf , a moviemaker known especially for his outstanding work on fu_extreme documentary. Recently, he edited few demos, that have been saved for the next release. The clips we present to you exclusively before the release itself are also made by the today's star. He stated that he learned a lot while editing my demos and it is my personal pleasure to have my demos immortalized this way. At his 16 years old, this guy shows his talents and drive to improve himself in graphic-related stuff and I am sure he couldn't have any better start than that. Enjoy the interview with blackelf in extended newspost!
Let us present the mentioned clips of which two are cut versions due to countless fails. Stay tuned for the upcoming release!
blackelf : Working with this demo was really annoying, some the fails were really difficult to cut out. The weapon animation was different every time + on lot of jumps the movement was really different. But on some places, the movement was almost the same and you can barely notice a cut there. On time 1:10, I can't almost see it even if I focus.
shooting-star : As you might have noticed, this map has been remade. The cause of it was a part of the map that was simply impossible to do with a slightest fps drop. The remake resulted in even harder blockpart, that required a serious effort to complete. You cannot imagine my surprise when I was caught not knowing the rest of the map after completing this blockpart.
blackelf : This one was more fun working on. The map was more interesting for me, and there were less cuts needed. Also on this one, the cuts were so much easier to do. The movement was insanely consistent in this demo.
shooting-star : I enjoyed recording this map even though it has some pretty nasty jumps. While on the last block, my keyboard stalled and I had to complete two blockparts repeatedly. After making that happen, I somehow did the last block almost first try. This was a huge luck and as a result, I spent on this map less time than expected.
blackelf : This is what I consider to be my most succesfull work. There is plenty of reasons: You can see your own shadow, and reflections, I added an object that was never located on this map, and replaced the original, and also the titles. I was aiming for a futuristic look, and I think i succeeded.
shooting-star : Recording kkz_texture was always my kreedz goal. I never managed to get consistent on either the window part or the drop shortcut. Now I finally broke the skill requirement and managed to get this WR even with a shortcut discovered years ago and proven "possible in a run" by patchouli on a public server.
