First of all, merry christmas!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Additionally to the results, we're happy to announce an update to this challenge:

Since bkz_goldbhop didn't get beat (yet?), our kind donator Country: Estonia ropz CS 1.6 Recordholder Gold Donator wished the challenge to continue until new notice from him!
Another old member of XJ, Country: France elfeN, also added €50 to the prizepool, which is now €300 and for a single map!

The rules are the same when it comes to upload your demo(s):
Please, use the "Tournament Record" listing at -link-

Good luck to everyone willing to try!

Sincerely yours,
XJ

  • After watching the demo on cliffez i have to say that LEWLY was a speedy MONSTER! Toff managed to beat lewly by 0.69 seconds but he had crazy combos in that demo...and i didn't remember lewly having so many combos like toff did! anyway that uptime on toff's demo! TOFF you are a BEAST! Congrats once again TOFF!

User Avatar
  • Yep, Lewly had more speed.

Default XJ Avatar
  • What do you mean.. toff had two major fails and still managed to beat it. He could go for 1.22/1.23 if he wants to.

Cliffez was the weakest demo of this challenge

Default XJ Avatar
  • sry bro cliffez demo > xtremeblock demo ! I didn't see these 2 major fails of toff but he had more speed than patchouli

Default XJ Avatar
  • If you could download the first demo of his, he literally fails 1.22-1.23 run towards the end, so no, even according to toff, this was the easiest of the three wrs.

Default XJ Avatar
  • cliffez > xtremeblock :3

User Avatar
  • where is all the criticism coming from? you didn't geek the map, you wouldn't even know how to approach it. it was a 2 minutes uptime piece of cake for Toffifee, now tell me how hard is it to beat the map sub 1:23.

Default XJ Avatar
  • gj both but tbh patchouli's blocktime was not even so great, i somehow expected something extraordinary, but epic time nontheless!

User Avatar
  • Nice, you can still improve it toff :D

Default XJ Avatar
  • Man these guys are beast

Default XJ Avatar
  • awesome! good job guys

and lol i was right with my guesses on the forums earlier

Default XJ Avatar
  • Crazy times, gj both

Default XJ Avatar
  • ggwp!

  • Feels so good to me to see the name Just Beat It (which I came up with on kzsk.sk back in 2014 for this exact type of competition) being mentioned on XJ’s newspage.

Back in the days I was myself purchasing Steam keys for random games as a reward for each edition. It was popular but it didn’t survive the test of time, just like the community itself. To see it now have a €750+ reward is next level!
Thanks (I believe it was PU9maker?) for initiating it here on XJ.

I’m actually shocked to see kz_cliffez got beaten, as when I saw the previous demo I thought that is impossible, lol. Can’t wait for goldbhop.

Special thanks to ropzie. Go go mousesports, Katowice is yours! :D

  • guys! u bes of the best!

Default XJ Avatar
  • impressive

Default XJ Avatar
  • gj guyz!!! but w8 goldbhop ^_^ KeltA do it!!!

Default XJ Avatar
  • cliffez rotw 200?

User Avatar
  • I know im a bit annoying but i would really appreciate if someone could make a battle movie between both patchoulis xtremeblock demos.. for some reason it seems more impressive the previous wr than this one. Maybe my eyes are getting blind dunno...

About cliffez, great demo toff, sick combos u made there. Still 1.22 possible for you if u some day decide to geek it.

Hope someone could beat goldbhop with some new combo/skip and not only a same and faster run.

Default XJ Avatar
  • I actually agree, I thought the old xtremeblock seemed faster, but you know, it's not about what is perceived, it is about how fast you really are. zhady is a great example of a player who would beat countless of great records and actually seem a lot slower. You might recall a guy like novice, a0ke, micron and fikon - Guys who would seem extra fast on the micro, than other guys, but perhaps, their mousemovement, actually just made it to look so. Always thought Brians cellblock seemed a lot faster than zhady, but somehow he could shave off seconds. For me, style is important, but the speed itself, the contiunuity is importan'or.

User Avatar
  • Totally.
I remember an old conversation with K3G where he told me about tarGet's 01.20 demo of wsp_valleyclimb, superb micros, that demo looks so fast.. Even today.

Default XJ Avatar
  • This is a testament of what is to come, a glimse of the future. Thank you to everyone involved. Holy, thank you so much.

And for everyone participating, and espeicially the WR guys - a HUUUUUUUGEEEEEEEE thanks for showing, just how much we have left to explore. This perhaps is a beginning of the new era.

Default XJ Avatar
  • holy = robz (& holy)

User Avatar
  • Great job both. Really sick jumping, worthy of the prizes!

User Avatar
  • kzno_xtremeblock with 2s improvement is pretty Pog.

User Avatar
  • Very nice job.

Default XJ Avatar
  • gj toff.
But I can't understand why people want wrers not only should beat it but beat it beautiful or impressive....
    Aren't they all beasts?
    gj papa <3.

Default XJ Avatar
  • omfg

User Avatar
  • I dont know if its just me, but xtremeblock looks so weird to me, im not saying its cheated, but it looks weird.

    Gj both

User Avatar
  • = ]]

User Avatar
  • Sweeeeeet, too good guys!

Both demos were crazy, yet there are still places which could be perfected.

That cliffez demo has hot combos <3

Default XJ Avatar
  • omg both demos are really amazing !!

Default XJ Avatar
  • Does anyone know why patchoulis wr is getting little to no respect in this comment section? beating xtremeblock with 2 seconds is damn impressive if you ask me at least, and it's obviously the better demo of the two anyway... I remember whenever that map was getting beat by someone like koukouz or lewly, XJ would nearly explode and give the jumpers an insane amount of respect.
I'm just gonna assume it's because people think it's cheated or something like that, since there's already a few people that thinks the demo seems fishy for some reason. Anyway GJ patchouli! You definitely deserve the 250 euros for that WR!

Default XJ Avatar
  • maybe my flag is china
    china many cheater lol
    cheatnese

Default XJ Avatar
  • Oh so it's like a racist thing? Makes sense then. The only guy that comes to mind whenever I think of Chinese cheaters is Lynn, so I don't think it's because of that. Compare that to the amount of Danes that cheated in the past: Tess, Siw, NOEL, niken, acquilaen, NAPZ (myself). 6 people! That's pretty much every Dane that has played KZ. Shame on all of us for fucking up the Danish reputation. Yet if anyone one us were to beat the xtremeblock WR today, people would go down on their knees and get ready to blow us off. With the exception of Tess and siw of course, oh and NOEL, niken and acquilaen too probably, so yeah.

Default XJ Avatar
  • chinese cheat iin lynn imjacy perfectslife zzz pmsa vly ... and many many anonymous cheater
them cant or dont upload demo in cc and xj
and them see someone cheat news will very be excited , then join comment criticize , so can proof self how justice, how hate cheater.. but later everyone know them self is cheat
    you know that feel?
and them will make rumor to destroy you
    who know why

Default XJ Avatar
  • i dont know other country, i dont care who cheater
but chinese, some cheater and play do something really make me nausea

Default XJ Avatar
  • Hey!

I never actually cheated, i just uploaded a cheated demo.

Not that it makes it any better though :)

User Avatar
  • Was it to prove a point?

Default XJ Avatar
  • It was so i could become cool like you. Didn't work though.

User Avatar
  • Patchouli you the best, fuck the haters.
Napz that was some speech lmao

Default XJ Avatar
  • While patchouli matched my expectations, I didn't expect toff to win this one. One way or another, they have proven having what it takes to win.
    Good job both :)

Default XJ Avatar
  • thanks boss \w/

User Avatar
